Don't Be Thirsty.

Recently, I was  talking to a co-worker about health

and the importance of working out. I have been on a

health journey for a few years now, but yet I seem to fall

off the bandwagon after life hits me. Usually I go strong

for a few weeks then I crash, but this time I had a sudden

burst of inspiration!

I realized that I had everything on the inside of me that

was needed for me to lose my desired weight. I had been

on this journey for about 1 year now but I have yet to see

long lasting results. All of a sudden after taking inventory

I realized what the issue was!

I have everything I need resting on the inside of me, but

had not fully tapped into the resources to use them

effectively.

The true question is .......what are we doing with

the resources that lie dormant on the inside of us?

What does this have to do with my pursuit of Christ? I’m

happy you asked! Usually the things that we want the

most, we usually seek out. Are you hungry? Then  you will

seek out food. Thirsty, then you will seek out water.

When you want something bad enough

you will do whatever it takes to get it!

Jesus is our life, our hope and our

future! We should seek Him first above

our wants and desires.

Learn to live with Jesus and become content no

matter what! Living with Jesus and loving Jesus is an

everyday choice. We must turn and become intentional

about our love affair with the King of Kings. It’s a matter

of life and death!

There are so many souls and lives that are

connected to our yes and obedience to the Lord. It is our

choice to go through, and be all that we can be in Christ.

He will equip us and give us the skills and abilities that

we need to accomplish his works while on the Earth.

“Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water

will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water

that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The

water that I will give him will become in him a spring

of water welling up to eternal life. “The woman said to

him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be

thirsty or have to come here to draw water” (John

4:13-15).

What are you thirsty for? Is it likes on social media, attention from the opposite sex, or approval of man?

Are you thirsty for more of the living water? Thirst

and you will be filled! It’s a guaranteed promise. The question is are you doing what’s needed to be filled?

Now is not the time to give all of your emotions

and love away on aimless things. Your life is like a bank

account. You determine what and who will be able to

make deposits and withdrawals from your life.

Are the things that you are heavily involved in leaving

you filled, dry, empty, or depleted of energy? Begin to take

inventory of your life and really search out the things that

leave you weak. Then ask yourself if this is God’s best

for you?

You determine what and who will be able to make deposits and

withdrawals from your life.

Should you come into a friend/associate a person's presence and leave dry?

Should  you leave that job tired and drained of passion and joy?

No, you should not! Your life is so important.

You are so needed on the Earth and you existing small is not

helping anyone. It’s actually hurting more people.

Now is time to go where you are needed and celebrate! Get far

away from those things that are leaving you sad. Run to

the place that gives life and joy.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.

The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us

to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation”

(2 Corinthians 5:17-18).

Fill up on the things of God. Find out what gives

your life meaning, and do it. Live it, reach for it, and go

for it. I meet so many people who are just comfortable

with settling for good enough. When they have a strong

desire to step out and experience more. I’m here to tell

you to stop waiting to explore all that life has to offer you

and go for it now!

Stop waiting for the perfect time and moment! Listen to

the Holy Spirit prompting and go. Receive instructions

and be free enough to do whatever God is leading you to

do. Be confident in knowing that if He leads you there

then HE will supply everything that you need, to support

your dream, vision, goal or plan. Follow his footsteps, I

guarantee He will not lead you astray!
