Be Strategic
During the Battle of the Alamo War the original plan was to begin the fight
on April the 22. Instead of following this plan, the General snuck into his opponent’s camp and sieged a sneak attack.
The ending results were mind- blowing:
The opposing soldiers were defeated in 18 minutes. The fight was swift and quick!
The General had to be a strategic planner, leader, and diligent about his opponent. His unit also had to trust his leadership and guidance in order to follow his direct instructions. He must have known his opponent well and studied his every move in order to successfully accomplish this victory!
An important point to remember is that the war only lasted 18 minutes.
Some wars last months, days or even years. Others are strategically planned to last only minutes. How will you fight the wars that may come in the upcoming days, months, or years?
Are you prepared for the battles that are set before you? Have you studied your opponent? What ways have you been attacked in the past, and have you developed a battle plan in prayer to defeat your opponent?
The enemy is lurking like a lion looking for someone he may devour. Pace yourself, be on guard. Know your triggers.
If its chocolate then stay off the candy aisle, and keep sweets out of your home.
Fine men or women -then take a social media fast and clean out your phone
of unneeded/tempting numbers and get an accountability partner. Limit some
people the ability to have access to you. Become unavailable until you are whole enough to be in their presence.
Procrastination- Then wake up early to be on time. Use a calendar and write out a daily to do list to ensure your life is in order. Set multiple alarms and have a morning routine that is easy to follow in order to alleviate distractions.
Self -Sabotage- Write out your goals and tie a scripture to it until it is complete.
Refuse to allow the enemy to have access to your thoughts, will or emotions
Win the battles in your mind and watch your passions come to pass. Tear down the lies that you have been rehearsing. Make a declaration over the things that seem to wear you down. Move in faith towards your goals and watch the enemy to your destiny be defeated. Lastly, rest in knowing that tough seasons are only going to make you stronger. Forgive yourself from any hurts or challenges you may have done in the past.
Set a schedule for yourself during the weeks to come and celebrate when you have accomplished something on your to do list. Every moment deserves a celebration, enjoy the victory.
Lack of peace, joy, hope, doubt, anger- Study scriptures on these areas of deficiency. Pray and hold yourself accountable to spending time in God’s presence daily. Make sure that you are being intentional with friends and mentors about your area’s strengths/weakness. You can only grow if you are transparent and take the time to be intentional and faithful about what you need!
Prayer: God I pray that I have an encounter with you today! Cause my eyes to be opened to the areas and the ways that I struggle daily. Strengthen my weak areas and allow me to be strengthened by your Spirit. Help me to know that I am not alone, forsaken, forgotten, or broken. Give me the power to walk out my faith daily and to know that all things are working for my good. Help me to trust your leadership in life. Give me the discipline I need to plan, wake up early and finish the assignment that you have given me with excellence and advancement.
Feel free to be as blunt and transparent during this time of prayer. It's between you and the Savior!
