Grow Where You're Planted
Grow Where You’re Planted
To Everything there is a season. A time build and a time to refrain from building, a time to weep and a time to dance.
My question is simple. Ask yourself what season I am currently living? Are you mourning instead of dancing, sewing instead of reaping, casting away instead of gathering?
To everything there is a season! An experienced farmer knows how to rotate his crops when the seasons change. He knows how to rise early and to take advantage of the time he must plant, and he also knows when it is time to reap.
Are you planting in this season? Or are you holding on to your seeds and talents with a tight grip and shouting” Why am I not reaping?”
Be diligent and ask yourself, “What am I sowing?” Have I sown into serving others at my church?
Sown into planning quiet time with God?
Sown into ministry with your time and finances?
Sown int o having a healthy lifestyle instead of eating pizza, fries, fried food, and junk?
Those who sew in tears will reap with shouts of joy- Psalms 126:5
Know that whatever you are sewing into will grow in this season, whether it’s your flesh or your Spirit. Build and feed the thing that you desire to grow and watch it blossom. Take some time and really evaluate your season. Then ask yourself: “How can I live this season well and allow the seeds that God has planted on the inside of me to grow. Trust the process and don’t be afraid to grow!
Weed your garden for nutrient killers: unhealthy thoughts, friendships, habits, or time wasters.
Cultivate your soil: Feed yourself the word of God daily.
Water your garden: Be washed with the word of God and purify your heart, be quick to forgive and simply listen for instruction.
Be quick to hear, slow to speak
Move close to the Son (your energy source):
In seasons of cloudiness, plants grow towards the sun. If you are having a tough season, know that you must move closer to the Son to grow. Don’t move away from God but draw closer each and every day!
Lean not to your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and he will direct your path.
Let your roots Grow deep:
Some people are afraid to settle into a routine. If things are going too well then it can cause panic and anxious thought to bubble to the surface.
But what if you were designed for peace and stability. Allow your roots to grow deep and gain stability in this season. Find joy in the little things in life. Cut yourself loose from anything that is drying your soil or causing you to be distracted from your source and strength (Jesus).
